The yellow-coated variety may be more dominate than the black. *Origin: Newfoundland *Nicknames: Lab...Labrador *Description: Intelligent...good tempered... bold...gentle...energetic...good natured...exceptional with children and liking everyone..very mellow. *Behavior: Behavior problems may include constantly barking at noises, occasional house soiling, and occasional chewing and destruction. Some may show willful disobedience as a form of dominance challenge. Labs seem a bit more dominant and territorial than Goldens. Most are pretty tough and insensitive to rough handling and have high pain thresholds.
